Here is an article about the first hatching of Titicaca water frogs in North America at Denver.
There are around 200 tadpoles born to two of the twenty frogs at the zoo. Most of the tadpoles can now be seen by the public in the zoo's Tropical Discovery building. The plans for the tadpoles when they develop into frogs is for some to remain at Denver while many others will be rehoused at other AZA collections.
Denver Zoo will receive $20 million (earmarked for a new animal hospital and improvements to Northern Shores - polar bears and sea lions) as local voters approved a bond package with a 69% approval. Almost a billion dollars will go towards 460 projects across the city. Wow!
