Have you seen a sloth bear before? Thats definitely look more like a brown bear.
 
After a savage killer murders a man's wife and most of his children, he must raise his remaining physically disabled son in a world where he now sees nothing but danger around every corner. After the son's kidnapping, the father must team with with a mentally disabled woman and travel far beyond the city they know, meeting a plethora of new enemies and friends along the way, to rescue the son before he's murdered by a psychopathic preteen girl.

Yes, I've seen Sloth Bears before (and Brown). It's certainly not a perfect match for either, but I think think they were going for Sloth. Note the grayish fur and pale snout.
 
Two young people fall in love, but in an attempt for them to have a better future together, the boy dies at the hand of a notorious criminal. While still grieving at the loss of the boyfriend, the girl is forced into a marriage with an evil prince, and then kidnapped by criminals-for-hire, who were hired by the prince in order to declare war on a neighboring country.
