Design a Zoo

As far as I'm concerned Javan Rhino, take your time. As mentioned, I'm excited to see the next section, but hey it's your zoo and your thread for that matter. :) No hurry, no pressure, just would love to see it when you're ready. :) I'm working on a zoo myself, but it likely won't be for quite some time (talking possibly years before I have everything worked out), so I'm certainly not one to pressure at all.

I am attempting to design a full zoo, after giving up on my past design, I shall post it when it is done, which may be a few days! :D

I've decided to make [yet another] zoo on Zoo Tycoon 2. However, I'm gonna try and follow one simple rule: I can only use species that are not/are rarely represented in the UK.

I think I'll make it so that only one other [public] collection can have them. Therefore, things like Polar Bears are alright etc. I'll post a map when I'm done :)

So.......yea as you can see between 37 and 38 there is a tunnel that leads to goes around the another part of the zoo. Above the tunnel there is a sign saying Venture deeper with the caption beneath it What will you find on your journey???

Between the two sections in a large protected forest with wild animals including foxes, badgers, a few deer, hares and other local species including loads of birds. There are a few hides as well and a good amount of bird boxes set up and bird feeders hanging with all manner of seed.

Next section includes the typical African plains, the monkeys and apes, komodo dragons, bears, the large walk-through aivary and other things

Inside the Closest Relatives complex (the indoor complex for the 3 ape species) also live Pygmy Marmosets and Roosmalens' Dwarf Marmosets

Inside the large state-of-the-art Giant Panda Complex live a few phesants like Green Phesant, Golden Phesant and Brown-eared Phesant

EDIT: Not really Cat-man. It's in Northern Ireland Somewhere and that tunnel idea made it easier to draw both sections. The forest was going to be at the bottom of the site but with not enough room and the tunnel, decided to make the forest above it.

My Zoological park

Here it goes sorry its abit late:p

The entrance fee would be 5.00 for children up to age 12 and adults 12.00
Also the Gift shops and cafes would be situated at the entrance and near the Rhinos for the gift shop and the cafes near Big Cats and the Pig dens.
the first enclosure would be an enclosure for Cherry crowned Mangabey(1.3)which live with a lot of high trees, ropes and a platform to be them to sunbathe and under that platform would have beding and if rain came down they could shelter indoor viewing would be onshow plus two offshow.
Across from them would hold(0.2) Eurasian Eagle Owl which would be kept in the indoor viewing for the Cherry Crowned Mangabeys.
Next would be a breeding group of Black Wildebeest(1.3) plus a group of female Thomson's Gazelle(0.8)which would live in a sandy paddock with a small watering hole.
Passing them is a small cat corridor with the cats accessing there outdoor paddock by going over the public's head the species will including four altogether:
1.1 Ocelot
1.2 Pallas Cat
1.0 Fishing Cat
1.1 Clouded Leopard
i will post more tomorrow!

You would view the Small cat outdoor enclosures via a window that you can see inside the small cat house.
Next would be African Kingdom species would include:

1.1 Eastern Black Rhino(These can also be seen in the Edge of the Horn as there would be a total of 3.7 in the zoo)

My plans have totally changed. Perhaps one day I shall get around to noting them all down in here :D

I had an idea for an exhibit that would be called Indonesian Excursion, (or Excursions) and it would transport you to the different islands like Sulawesi, Sumatra, Borneo, the Lesser Sunda Islands, (Flores and Komodo) and eventually Guinea and Papua New Guinea. I'd like to describe it, however I haven't really thought it through much only because of a problem I think would occur. I know these are only "fantasies" but I really wanna actually try and make these exhibits one day, so there is a budget concern for me. :D I can't help it, but you can't overlook things like that, can you? My problem is that I think with the species I would like to have in IE, (Indonesian Excursion in case you forgot ;)) many of the exhibits would be frivolous like those of the Sulawesi bear cuscus, or "unnecessary" aviaries just for three or four endemic species. So would it matter if those were overlooked? Would it just be a waste of money? I'll describe the exhibit when someone answers. :D Sorry, but I feel I need to know what animals would be there before I can describe it. Thanks!

Well, if you want to be realistic, then the cuscus wouldn't even be in your plans. You could always edit it later and make it more reasonable if you wanted to. When I chose the species in my zoo, the only requirement was that they had to be in captivity. No limits. But I know mine will never work without a huge reduction in species. Each section of my zoo (split by continents) could really be it's own zoo if you look at it by collection size...
