Hello
I used to volunteer at the Detroit Zoo about 10 years ago....I totally LOVED it. Mainly worked at the Arctic ring of life, and general zoo ambassador. I felt like the polar bears, seals and arctic foxes were my friends, I watched them all the time and knew their personalities. Its so sad to see all my friends are gone now :( but I love reading about all the new friends I can meet. Now that I have grand kids, I hope to make it to the zoo more, and if I ever get to retire, I hope to start volunteering again!!

It’s best in the country for polar bears but guest quality not so much. If you do see polar bears it would surely make your day. I would say it’s the best habitat in North America if you see the bears.
