Dierenpark Zie-ZOO Dierenpark Zie-ZOO news 2023

That's great! Going back to Belgium in October, and really wanted to go here again as it's not too far away, so it's great the snow leopards made it in time for that, hehe.
I thought the enclosure was looking really good.

Hello, Zootierliste lists Greater Grison, Spinifex Hopping Mouse, Indomalayan Bamboo Rat and Lesser Black-Backed Gull at Volkel (Zie-zoo). Are they really there and where and when can they be best seen?

All these species except the gulls are behind screens and are not visible. The gulls are in an aviary next to the dhole enclosure.

Thanks! Any idea if it is easy to arrange a behind-the scenes peek?

I've heard a few people were able to go BTS briefly after asking staff, but I'm personally always too anxious to ask anyone. So I guess it depends what generation you're from

Last year I visited this collection because of seeing the jackalss. I contacted the zoo via mail and there was no problem to give me perfect opportunity to take pictures and also had a chat with the owner who is a very kind man. Do not hesitate to ask, I am doing this regularly when visiting zoos with bts animals and with some understandable exception I was always welcomed;)

We went last week. Sadly didn't see the Fossa or the Jackals, but we can't blame them, it was a horrible rainy day.

It was the most miserable day I have ever had the pleasure of walking around in, haha, it rained non stop (until the evening when we were on our way home).
We made plans with friends to go, and none of us seemed to be that bothered if it were raining, and we don't get to see each other often, so we decided to just go ahead with it.

The Snow Leopard was the highlight of the day, he was out and about most of the day.
We noticed many animals didn't care about the rain at all, and apart from the Striped Hyena & Clouded Leopard, we actually saw all the animals at some point during the day.

It was nice to see the Grey-crowned Crane youngster, to see how his "hair" was developing.

Doe anyone know about the Maned Wolves? Are they in separate enclosures?
We saw one in the very far distance, but then it also looked like that one was in another enclosure.
