if anyone attended the threatned species open day they would have seen mckenzie the new koala and a new echidna. both will be permanent residents at the park now. peanut, moama and bindi the dingo pups have gotten so much bigger and are incredibly friendly. but when the crowds come they go into hiding.
roaming reptiles was at the scene providing hands on experiences to the public. the larger saltwater crocodile showcased by roaming reptiles at the park will be donated and displayed some time in the future. it should have already been put on display but due to unfortunate circumstances the enclosure has not been built.
groups were also taken into the bandicoot breeding facility and shown the bandicoots. currently in the pouch of the female is baby B76. B representing kyaBram, i guess the k was taken. finally bubbles the spotted quoll has died.
in order of priority the next enclosure/s (most likely) to be built are.
insect display in the education centre-this will include an indoor beehive and insect enclosures
hairy nosed wombat exhibit
saltwater croc exhibit
