probably not. Their hunting strategies and probably their favoured prey items would not have been similar.

Childonias is pretty accurate there. Dingoes were originally believed to be responsible for the extinction of the thylacine however recent studies have changed this opinion based on what Childonias has stated.
There is also evidence to suggest they Co - existed on the mainland together for some time. Dingoes were just better at adapting.
