Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park Full Species List

Are you certain it wasn’t a misunderstanding on either behalf?

I ask, because, the animal spotting guides are mainly inaccurate and are not a reliable source of information due to certain depicted species being no longer present in the park’s collection.

I am certain.

As you can see on the original list, species which I only saw on the animal spotting guide are listed separately, precisely because I know they are not accurate.

Both species are listed in the section which was explicitly seen. By "the safari guide mentioned both", I do not mean the signage on the tram bur rather the driver of the tram itself.

Well then, in that case, the driver you had must’ve been confused as for which zebras were there. So don’t take my statement personally for the wrong reasons.

Is there a reason you're so certain they weren't there? My understanding is that animals are moved between the park and the lodge fairly frequently.

Given the dynamics of moving such large hoofstock, and the AZA’s direction of maintaining one species of priority (mountain) over another (plains). I assumed it was common knowledge that the park hasn’t had plains zebras since the last decade.

I honestly don't think anything related to DAK's collection can be considered "common knowledge", given how generally secretive and unwilling to specify things about it as nearly any other zoo.

My apologies, for I’m not exactly certain as to how we should continue this discussion. Either way, I’ll rest my case and between us we’ll just assume that you “saw” plains zebra during your visit.
