I visited Disney’s Discovery Island in Orlando, Fl several times in the 90’s. I’m sure many of you know it closed before the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and many of the animals were transferred to the new park.
I thoroughly enjoyed the many aviaries and the overall aesthetic of the small park and on my last visit I saw my first Fishing Cat and Morlet’s Crocodiles. I also remember several Hornbill species, Geoffroy’s Tamarins, Red Legged Seriema, separate exhibits for Ring Tailed and Brown Lemurs and a mixed GLT, Golden Conure and Green Iguana exhibit.
Does anyone happen to have a more complete species list and perhaps some photographs they don’t mind uploading?
