Do Zookeepers live on site in all/some UK Zoos ?

For some it is definitely the case, having visited some of said accomodation.

On the whole, most zoos in the UK will have some form of accommodation that keepers can live in and pretty much each collection I've worked at, at least one of the keeper team have lived onsite

Not all, but some for sure! On-site accommodation is especially useful for those moving around the UK and for finding housing in the more expensive areas.

I think this varies from zoo to zoo. Depending on the zoo, I think there will be some accommodation for keepers/volunteers or the director house might be set in the grounds.

I remember reading that UK zoo license laws states 4 staff trained in fire Arms must live on site if the zoo holds any category 1 carnivore, primate or ungulate. Not too sure if this is correct but definitely firearms trained officers live on site.

i think sometimes keeper will sleep over the night before bad weather if they won’t be able to get to the zoo in the morning so i imagine most zoos will have air mattresses and cots somewhere on the property
