Thought they had introduced a white-eye spp (bird) as pest control.Yes, it's quite well-known over here, though not as an animal collection; it is first and foremost a botanical garden, and is known for it's distinctive 'biodome' greenhouses. I visited once in 2009, and seem to recall they also had a Podarcis species free-roaming in one of the 'biodomes'
They have, and roulroul partridges too. These are both listed on the collection's zootierliste, which drill links in the opening post, and which i'm assuming has been created due to the discussion in TLD's lost species thread (link for those unfamiliar with the thread). I was mentioning the lizard as an additional species i thought they held (or at least formerly held) not listed on ztl.Thought they had introduced a white-eye spp (bird) as pest control.
a number of different herptile species have been released into the greenhouses. Apart for species obtained specifically for release, I also recall (but can't find the article now) a group of smuggled lizards being released there after a Customs seizure.I was mentioning the lizard as an additional species i thought they held (or at least formerly held) not listed on ztl.
