Dolphins in human care

I've always found this point quite interesting in the debate in recent years-the cove etc clearly claims (and shows) some dolphins being taken for aquariums-I assume they go to places in Japan, China etc-does anyone know where these end up?

And following on Seaworld etc claim they don't take wild caught (except for rescues) etc and I don't disbelieve that (although of course they were recently trying to get wild caught Belugas)-but do they ever take dolphins from the dolphinariums these wild caught dolphins do end up in (in which case I personally would still count that as being part of those dolphin drives in Taiji)? Or do all dolphins in US exhibits come only from other US exhibits?
 
I can't pretend to be very knowledgeable about this, but as far as I know the dolphins captured in Japan are mostly destined for Asia. Japan has a huge number of Dolphinariums, according to Wikipedia they have 34, compared to 32 in the USA, and China seems to be building quite a few as well.

As far as I know, it's illegal to import dolphins captured in drives to the USA, no matter how long they have spent in captivity.

Pretty sure America is now totally self sustaining, they've even sent captive bred animals to Europe I believe.
