I don't think they were from Chester - apart from anything else, Dudley had the species before Chester did

They were indeed from Chester - Wild dog welcome! – Dudley Zoo and Castle

The previous ones were I believe 3 brothers? But they had all died before the Chester group arrived.

The original male trio (before the Chester group) came from Colchester in 2010

Ah, interesting curiously, they have given almost identical soundbites for the passing of these animals as they did for the last ones!

It has just been announced that the borough of Dudley is moving into Tier 4 from tomorrow.

I'm not sure if this means the zoo will have to close again or not.

Zoos are allowed to open outdoor areas in Tier 4, some are open, several have stayed closed eg Colchester, Cotswold through choice. See discussion earlier on lockdown thread

The zoo has confirmed via social media that they are still OPEN despite the local area being placed into tier 4. All indoor areas will continue to be closed, including the gift shop.
