What are some of the dumbest reasons people have left one star reveiws on zoos for?

Minnesota Zoo (1 star):

No Giraffes.

The Cincinnati Zoo had an onslaught of one star reviews following the 2016 Harambe incident, some genuinely angry over the situation, but many were just memes.

For the North Carolina Zoo one person complained about the Elephants being "Orange"
But they are that color because of the red clay we have here.

Also for the NC Zoo someone said that there was too much walking, that her hip hurts because of the elephants, and that when she tried to think the "stupid" birds maybe too much noise.

I saw one for Tokyo Sea Life Park complaining that a nearby tapioca stall (completely unrelated to the aquarium) was selling fake tapioca.

I can't remember if it was a one-star review but I saw a one star review for some aquarium in America complaining that the staff wouldn't let them go fishing in the tanks (but they did say the Belugas were nice).

We have a real doozie over at the Detroit Zoo:
The "face-diaper" is what really bugs me, the polar bear comment is insensitive and I dislike the Detroit stereotype.

Found some from my local zoo, the Capron Park Zoo:
1. "zoos are horrible, this place is no exception. Euthanize bears much?"
2. "They don't have Alligators or Crocodiles."
3. "Boring"
4. "ATTENTION !!! YOU CAN'T GO IN AT AFTER 15:00 !!! Information only on their website !!!"
5. "The enclosures for the leopard, lion and tiger are so small! They have no room to run, they’re all depressed and stressed out pacing back and fourth! They don’t play and just constantly look sad. The poor Mikey doesn’t even have any real trees, leaves or vines to climb on! This zoo has all the room to expand and give these animals more! That’s the last the could do! Please please please do more for these animals. It’s bad enough they are held captive their whole lives in Tiny enclosures for people’s happiness! At least give them what they deserve!" [Note- the zoo does not have a tiger, and has not for at least seventeen years].

While I don't agree with everything in this review, they have a point about the zoo's collection declining. "Where are all the animals?" is a legitimate question, indeed.

Brookfield zoo:
" Please! Please! Please? Do something with the geese!!!!!! They were very annoying. I seen one geese biting at a woman’s purse,another one chasing/attacking a little toddler. And for my own experience we had our stroller and we’re walking and all of a sudden here comes this big geese flying right across our stroller almost hitting our 1yr old in the stroller. Really not safe. Only to end this review saying that I bought a 1yr pass‍"

Ah yes, a classic flaw of Shedd. This is just like when that art gallery I visited had too many paintings... or was it the botanical garden with too many plants?

I would love to see a 1 star zoo review for 'too many animals' just for a nice contrast with the rest

Tokyo Sea Life Park, complaining about the Taiji dolphin hunts, sounds fair, but Tokyo Sea Life Park does not and never has had dolphins. Another complaining that the staff did not speak English. In Japan. A country that does not speak English. Who would have thought?

Seen several complaining they "felt terrible for supporting this horrid industry that tears animals from their homes and imprisons them for profit" (ignoring all the lies in that statement), if they really felt that way why did they go? Did they not know what a zoo/aquarium is? What were they expecting, if not animals? The mind baffles|

"Came here for some seafood and got thrown out" I hope this is a joke.

Remembered where the "didnt let us go fishing but Belugas were nice" review was from, Shedd Aquarium.

Seeing this thread made me have a look at 1 star reviews for my local zoos. My favourite was someone complaining that the zoo wouldn't let them in for free as they only wanted to buy an ice cream.

"Came here for some seafood and got thrown out" I hope this is a joke.

Fun fact - good seafood is hard to find in Chicago because Shedd buys all the highest quality stuff before any restaurants can get it. So they may have been (somewhat serious).

I read here or elsewhere years ago about some chap who complained that the animals kept on photo bombing his photographs that he was taking of his family zoo day out. It was actually quite funny and very much tongue in cheek. He posted a few to make it even more amusing.
