Dutch zoo guides

Nope, the big paddock talked about here is not the pampas enclosure. They have two enclosures, both with Azara’s agouti’s, with abbility to go inside of the South America house

Just to clarify, with "big paddock" I meant the largest one with the huge pond (the one with the swans and unfinished monkey islands), which used to hold the tapirs. That one had a giant anteater (and rheas, waterfowl and turtles, so I guess that's the one you call the pampas enclosure).

There are also two anteater enclosures next to the South America house, one of them was occupied by an anteater, the other by a group of spurred tortoises.

During my visit this month both of the anteater enclosures housed both anteaters and agoutis. There were no spurred tortoises

Once Alice and her sister Dolores get along well they are both going to be released onto the great pond enclosure. They removed most grazing animals around there as they turned the once green pond into a sandpit. This spring they re-seeded the place to keep it green and phased out the grazers to prevent it.

I've sent and email to Zie-Zoo asking about the unsigned stick insects, I'll upload the reptile attic as soon as I get an answer

I'll be updating some of the Blijdorp guides soon, ZC's blijdorp expert messaged me with some help for some of the species I missed

I just received an email from the head of animal keeping at Zie-Zoo saying they are keeping Eurycantha calcarata, I'll be updating the guide

I really doubt if that’s correct, they don’t really look alike. The one Mr. Zootycoon mentioned look more like them

Well, maybe the collection changed, and I'm honestly more inclined to trust the head of animal keeping in the zoo than a zoochatter who's last visit might have been a half a year ago (seeing that the reptile attic was still closed even after the rest of the zoo opened)

I'll be working on Avifauna, Beekse bergen, Wildlands, Amersfoort and Ouwehands next. Though I'm not sure where to continue next, does anyone need guides for one of the zoos?

Ouwehands for me would be great. It’s one big mess imo

- Africa aviary (Near giraffe indoors)
- Vulture aviary
- Africa house
- Gibbon islands
- The very small nocturnal house
- The Bateleur, Saddle-billed stork and parrot aviaries near the elephants
- Gorilla enclosure
- Wadden sea aviary
- Ravot Aapia
- Tortoise greenhouse and Ori house
- Urucu reptile area
- Urucu aviary

Any others?

I've just discovered that Dracaena Bushii is technically also in Meise Botanical Garden (Belgium), but that's not a zoo so I'll keep it at four stars.

Ouwehands and Amersfoort are going to take a little while, as Amersfoort has a huge collection and Ouwehands is a mess with their aviaries (I'll have to go over there to figure it out myself)
