(insert party emojis here)
(Because ZooChat doesn't have in-built party emojis)
(and copy-pasted emojis don't work)
(it's a celebration!)

Finally finished this one after struggling to identify these damn cichlids for so long!

But forgot about the mouse, these are golden spiny mouse ;)

But forgot about the mouse, these are golden spiny mouse ;)

Well... Darn.

Story of the Ancient city guide:
- I made the earliest version with Cairo spiny mouse (not sure what I based it off of, this was a long while back) and took it to Amersfoort for double-checking.
- I later switched the Cairo spiny mouse with Golden spiny mouse, rather than the Cairo spiny mouse, because that's the species listed by ZTL.
- I didn't release the guide because I could not identify the cichlids and I'm too much of a perfectionist.
- The guide sat dormant for a while as I worked to identify the cichlids (which took a while).
- I finally visited again this week to do a final double-check before release, and I didn't bother to check the signage because, well, that's famously bad at Amersfoort...
- I noticed the Golden spiny mice had been moved to former holdings on Zootierliste, and the Egyptian spiny mouse is once again listed.
- I was very glad I saved the Cairo spiny mouse map and cutout so I didn't have to make it again, and placed that back on the guide before release.

Seems like the switch back to Cairo spiny mouse was only recent on ZTL, and it wasn't the only mistake I noticed. I think someone did an inaccurate report here...

I think the issue is that they never bothered to update the sign... So even in the Zoochat gallery the golden spiny mice pictures from Amersfoort are labeled as Egyptian spiny mouse.

There's the big one! Now, of course, ZooChat doesn't have very high resolution. Usually this is fine, but with some of the bigger guides this makes if nearly impossible to see some of the maps. So once again I want to remind you all that if you send me a PM I can send you the original file, in full resolution. This is especially true for the Fiji banded iguana in this case.

Note: I wasn't able to fit the European black honey bee on the guide, these live in enclosure #17. Although these could be classified as Wild animals, since they have access to outside

I believe a common blue-tongued skink can be seen in enclosure #13 when the gila monsters hibernate behind the scenes in winter.

Interesting, I didn't know that!

I rarely go to the zoo in the winter, so I suppose it makes sense I haven't seen them there

The Wildlands guides are finished and about to be uploaded. It seems they changed something in ZooChat and should now be able to upload images at their full quality instead of the usual low quality. Which is great, since the Wildlands guides are (once again) themed, and they were quite difficult to make out last time due to the lower image quality.

Just as the last version of the Wildlands guides, I'm also releasing non-themed versions that are easier to use and read.

Edit: Whelp, I guess they still don't work.
I'll post links to the textured versions at the bottom of the posts instead. The non-textured versions do get uploaded full-sized now, so I guess it partially works. The Textured versions are just too detailed.

Edit:
aaaaand nevermind. Guess we'll go back to the regular upload versions, with lower quality cards. As always, send me a PM if you want the full versions of the cards and I'll send you a download link to the full file
