Chester Zoo EAZA Ape Campaign Special Event - Saturday 19th February 2011

I am surprised to hear Chester have only limited signage in RORA- maybe they think the display speaks for itself without it.
There is a lot of signage in RotRA, all about orangs, their habitat, threats, relationship to humans etc, just nothing to speak of about the individuals in the exhibit.

I would personally like them to have boards showing the names of the individual gibbons, but I can't see them doing that

We’re pleased to announce details of a special event to support the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) Ape Campaign, organised in association with Chester Zoo.

The cost of the day is £25 per person, with all the money raised going directly to the EAZA Ape Campaign.

I know this event was a long time ago, but I have just received confirmation that I was able to match fund all monies raised from this day including the auction of the paintings. I cannot mention the company I work for in a public forum but they have agreed to double the £780 raised so the total for this one event now stands at £1560 !!

Thanks again to all involved in supporting the day and donating to such a great cause.
