EcoTarium is a 45 acre science and nature museum located in Worchester, Massachusetts. The facility, which boasts one of the largest mountain lion exhibit in the country (18,500 square feet) has native and exotic species including red fox, bald eagle, barred owl, North American river otter, American kestrel, woodchuck, turkey vulture, Eastern screech owl, Texas giant millipede, five-lined skink, and flying squirrel (species not specified).

On January 13th, the museum announced that they have appointed a new Preisdent and CEO, Noreen Johnson Smith. She started her position on January 17th.

On January 22nd, the museum announced they have acquired a (0.1) woodchuck named Cornelia, which arrived at the facility in autumn 2021.

On February 26th, the museum announced that their (0.2) striped skunks named Stormy and Misty have passed away due to a decline in health from old age. They were both 9 years old at the time of passing.

Also on February 26th, the museum announced that their (1.0) North American porcupine named Sgt. Pepper has passed away at age 19 due to a rapid decline in health.

On April 11th, it was reported that the museum is looking for AZA accreditation, which could help bring more species to the facility, including black bears, coyotes, and wolves.

On February 6th, 2024, the museum announced that they moved their older fancy mice behind the scenes while moving 2+ new fancy mice on exhibit.

On May 22nd, the museum announced that their (0.1) domestic chicken (breed not specified) named Gretchen passed away at age 6 due to a decline in health caused by oviductal carcinoma in its reproductive tract.
