Edinburgh Zoo Edinburgh Zoo Female Jaguar?

Hi Zoochat!

Does anyone know what happened to Tina, the female Jaguar at Edinburgh zoo? The last few visits I haven't been to the big cat walkway, and was surprised to see in this years annual report that she had died.

There was nothing on the (No longer updated) blog that I could find, other than that she was on a diet.

Does anyone know what happened?

Following a rapid deterioration in her health, which at first was thought to be due contaminated meat, it was decided to put her to sleep. Following a post mortem it was found that she had a number of cancerous tumours in her brain.

Thanks - the Jaguars are my seven year old's favourites - he will be devastated.
