Egyptian Mongoose at Animal Farm Adventure Park

I thought it might be of interest that Animal Farm Adventure Park near Burnham currently have Egyptian Mongoose in their collection. There are only four places listed on Zootierliste that display this species.

Aside from the mongoose there is little else of note, mostly domestic animals and pet shop exotics

It did strike me that the signs were considerably better than those you usually find in such places.

Oh yes. When I picked up a promo leaflet and saw that they had Egyptian mongoose I was there. It's only about half an hour down the motorway for me and I hadn't seen the species before. The viewing wasn't great as they are in a dark pen with small gauge wire mesh but apparently they are going into a new outdoor enclosure next year.

That's good to hear they're getting a new exhibit. Despite living 10 mins away, I haven't visited since I was a child... I'll be sure to make the trip next summer.

Apparently the plan is to get more exotics, to maybe go down the route of being a refuge for surplus / unwanted animals, so there might be more to see in the near future.
