Elephant in NZ Circus

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been talked about b4 but I was just wondering what any kiwis or people who have visited nz (or not) and have seen her think about the African Elephant cow Jumbo, with the Loritz Circus and how she is treated in terms ov socialising and proper care etc. or just her being in the circus in general.

I personally think it is unfair for her to have to be separated from other elephants as she is as elephants are highly social animals and she is missing out on her natural experiences.

I hear she is well treated in terms of health care and things and her livings conditions have been passed by the SPCA but circus life cannot be overly comfortable for her in my opinion.

So what do you think? Is it really fair for her to be in the circus? please let me know what you have to say on the topic!

Here is a link to an article discssing the same thing ... Circus elephant in the middle of jumbo row - New Zealand news on Stuff.co.nz

This has been discussed at great length. (The thread is 4 pages long so far.)
Go to the New Zealand part of the forum and check out the "African Elephant" thread.
