Al Ain Wildlife Park are looking at obtaining elephants. These would be the first in the UAE?

Definitely not the first for the UAE. In fact Al Ain has held African Elephants before. They brought in mahouts from India to care for them.
I recollect seeing an elephant walking along the Al Ain to Dubai road. I have no idea where that came from or went.

Elephants are not mentioned in the near future plans for the park, they seem to be concentrating on desert habitats.
