It has just said on the BBC news (local area) that one of the elephants at Blackpool Zoo has died. It said the name of her, but i didn't fully catch it. It went into saying a post mortum may be allowed to be showed on the internet, but asked was it a dignfied end?

Any one know any more info?

Aw that's sad.
Post mortum might be interesting and educational I guess, however i can't help but feel this won't be a wise move with the activists, they'll love ripping into her death alone.

True it could cause some problems with activists. This shouldn't stop the zoo doing somthin that would be educational.

There is nothing about her dying but the elephant concerned is crumples

BBC NEWS | England | Elephant TV post mortem row

I think they might just be planning ahead and contemplating a tough welfare decision, and that the RCVS are working on a documentary and maybe featured inwhich case her PM MAY be featured in a production for channel 4.

Given the fact an elephant PM can take in excess of 6 hours they would only show snippets, and while disgusting for some it would also be interesting for others.

Oh, so she hasn't died? Tempting fate a bit...
I don't see what the problem would be putting her PM on tv though (if she dies that is). They show animals being killed on tv, like "kill it, cook it, eat it", so I don't see the harm in a dissection.
