English Premier League

The Baggies could still do it (tho very unlikley now :() Relying on Hull to stumble at the end, and us to pick up points against Wigan, Blackburn & Spurs, the only thing we will get from Liverpool is a spanking. A season of major underacheivment and the Wolves goin up :(:(:(

PS I have never heard us called West Bromwich Brazil before:) Play nice footie but no penetration and dodgy back 5

It's a little nickname that I think we (Stoke) coined. It is about your manager's seemingly total insistence that they can out-pass the premier league sides ;)

Isn't it because ITV Central insist on saying West Brom are the best team in the Midlands? (I'm sure Zoogiraffe will disagree).

Interesting to note that West Brom have only beaten Stoke twice in 21 years, once when Stoke had two players sent off and once when the ref insisted on moving the goalkeeper off the pitch for treatment to an injury while allowing play to continue - the only known case of this ever happening.

Rob, I noticed it being used more after the 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns last season. I think the West Bromwich local paper's sports writer described WBA as Brazil-like and that coupled with Mowbray's constant referral to their style of play led to the nickname...

Oh and about the best team in the midlands, Stoke have come top of the little mini-league between us, Villa and the Baggies ;) (we have 10 points, villa 7 and WBA 0)

You must be referring to the local paper that says Stoke are not fit to be on the same pitch as West Brom.

I hate to think what Stoke would achieve if they were fit to share the same pitch.

Didn't someone suggest the FA ought to cancel the two games Stoke v WBA and just award Stoke 6 points to save everyone's time?

They remind me of Crewe who under Mr Garadi played football as it was meant to be played. They never won any trophies. Crewe have an excellent youth team, they also never won anything.

Don't worry zoogiraffe, it looks like Villa will win the Southern reserve league;)

At last a trophy for this season! I also think Ricardo Fuller ought to win the best sending off trophy for his actions at West Ham.

We'll its looking like the end of the seasons coming to an anticlimax after what promised to be such an exciting season.

Man U look like claiming the crown, Liverpool are much improved but the draws hurt us badly at home.

Looks like its all over at the bottom with Middlesbrough and Newcastle not looking like they could secure 1 point. Defences are like a sieve and as for them scoring is laughable.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS,

COME ON THE ARSENAL

the big question begins

transfers

will michale owen stay with newcastle now they've gone down?

noo! i cannit believe the toon went doon leek!

Out: Coloccini, Enrique, Cacapa, Barton (Hopefully), Oba, Owen (He's been poor), Bassong, Nacho, Xisco, Ameoobi, zamblera, smith, and probably Viduka (who has been good recently)

They shouldn't have sold Abdoulye Faye to Stoke.

If they had managers who knew where to play the players to get the best out them, they may have not gone down.

This is one big wake up call for the toon fans, no one is big enough to go down no one!
