English Premier League

It's no longer a council ground zoogiraffe ;) Coates paid for it last year and this summer has spent about a million pound upgrading it.

I do have to say, I really wasn't impressed with Ashley Young & Gabby Agbonlahor. I was expecting them to murder our fullbacks, but even Griffin dealt with the problem easily.
I know its not owned by the council any more but i have a few friends who are Stoke supports and it winds them up a bit hence my use of the name.

Well you did predict they would score twice. Six goals in two games is pretty good.

Having seen Liverpool's one dimensional attack v Middlesbrough, I'm sure Villa will win. All they have to do is defend the middle third of the penalty area.

Liverpool are playing shocking at the moment! But winning which is the important thing.

We still have an ok defence, and well Villa have been leaking goals left, right and centre! So with Torres playing am sure he'll get a chance to score, so its really a case of how many will liverpool score against villa? :p

I got one right!!!! Except for the score.

Next game is Everton, Stokies are saying they want revenge because Everton relegated Stoke by winning 2-0 at the Victoria ground on 20th April 1985.

I don't agree. By only winning 3 matches out of 42 Stoke relegated themselves.

Don`t worry you got the result right just not what the score would be its better than what i achieved.

I thought it would be 4-0. 2-1 with only ten men is quite good, and there is nothing wrong with losing to a better team.

I know i'm a bit late, but before the season started i predicted Liverpool's results this season (i love Liverpool):)

Aston Villa: h 1-0: a 0-0
Blackburn: h 3-0: a 1-0
Bolton: h 4-1: a 2-0
Chelsea: h 2-2: a 0-1
Everton: h 1-0: a 0-0
Fulham: h 4-2: a 2-1
Hull: h 3-0: a 1-0
Manchester City: h 1-1: a 0-1
Manchester United: h 1-1: a 0-2
Middlesbrough: h 4-0: a 1-1
Newcastle: h 2-0: a 1-0
Portsmouth: h 2-1: a 1-1
Stoke City: h 3-0 a: 3-1
Sunderland: h 2-0 a: 1-0
Tottenham: h 2-1 a: 1-2
West Bromwich: h 5-1 a: 1-0
West Ham: h 2-1 a: 0-1

Got one right so far: 0-0 against Aston Villa away:)

That's one more score right than I have guessed. Stoke reserves lost to Aston Villa yesterday. Zoogiraffe will be happy.

It cheered me up a bit still feeling down after the Stoke game, will be intresting to see how the youngsters in the reserves do.

I just listened to Radio Stoke's football show. A Crewe fan texted in and confidently said they will win at Liverpool in the cup next week. Well, I suppose he believes it.

What a result for all us Liverpool fans!

We didn't even need to bring torres on, which makes the victory even more sweet.

I think everyone likes Liverpool tonight. They beat Man U. Well done. Now look out for Mighty Crewe.

I gotta say, Liverpool made United look awful today (especially without torres and gerrard for most of the match). God help United if Ronaldo gets a sudden urge to go to Madrid next summer ;)

If Liverpool can stay consistent (e.g. no silly home draws to wigan - but can Stoke get one next week ;) ) then they will be in with a great shout at the title.

Quite impressed with Liverpool's new signing, Riera, as well...

Stoke have lost 23 out of their last 24 games at Anfield. It's time for a change.

Being a very disappointed liverpool fan esp thru the ninetys, I would be surprised. But if were going to win te league we need to beat sides like Stoke easily, just like derby last season at Anfield.

I think we'll lose, but i'll just say, we have more in common with Birmingham and Wigan than Derby. Both of which managed to come away from Anfield with a point...
