On March 3rd, it was reported that the zoo is in the process of acquiring/has acquired (2.0) African penguins, a (0.0.1) eastern screech owl, as well as 4 primates from two different species (possibly the lesser spot-nosed guenons and Allen's swamp monkeys reported last year). It was also reported that a (0.0.1) prehensile-tailed porcupine was born.
In the article, it was also posted what the zoo's current projects are including a major renovation to the North American river otter exhibit, redoing the viewing areas of the African-painted dog exhibit, building a new family bathroom in the Kiboka Outpost area, rebuilding the bridge that connects both sides of the facility, and planning to restore/improve the front gate area.
