Well, mismanagement isn't exactly the right way to put it, and more that the pheasantry and surrounding area have long been earmarked for demolition and replacement with a massive picnic meadow in the masterplan that Andreas Knieriem introduced when he became director in 2014:



As that map shows, there *is* a plan to eventually create a massive walkthrough aviary complex nearby, on the current site of the gibbon enclosure and surrounding exhibits, but in the meantime the Pheasantry very much feels like it is being gradually wound-down.

I think if any match has shown that quality is just as important, if not more so, than quantity, it may be this one. The last little bit of information really seems to have shifted T-Berlin away from what moments before seemed to be certain victory in an otherwise close clash.

Initially a rather quieter match than I had hoped-for, but things picked up nicely towards the end with a reasonable bit of discussion and debate - although I do wish someone else had taken the lead! overall, a very close result - which I think is the fairest possible result all round.
