Also it seems that many people have stopped posting on this thread...

I have a great time designing exhibits for these challenges, and I actually made one for your challenge Siamang27 but things have just been crazy here. I'm actually moving out to Salt Lake City for 4-6 months to intern at the Tracy Aviary! I'm not sure if I'll have internet out there so I don't think I will be able to get on ZooChat at all.

Thank you siamang27 I will make sure to do that.

@fkalltheway - that is really cool that you will be interning at the Tracy Aviary. I like how it is mostly outdoors and have heard many great things about it. I hope I can go some day along with the Utah's Hogel Zoo.

Fkalltheway, I'd still like to see your exhibit if you have it! If not that's ok.
You must be as much of a bird fan as I am!

Yeah, I have always liked birds. I've worked with them before but Tracy Aviary will give me tons more experience and I'll get to work with lots of species that I've never worked with before.
I didn't write up a description for my exhibit but I drew a map for it and I have the list of exhibits that I planned to include. I can e-mail them to you if you want.

Thank you very much! I love mixed exhibits and am very pleased that you selected my design.

The next challenge is to design a Primate house,
You must include at least eight different primate species
There is a maximum of 5 non-primate species
There must be at least one mixed Exhibit
there does not need to be great apes, but you can have them if you wish
You can specialize in onegroup or area if you wish
There must be a connection between all the species, not just a random collection of animals
You must include some sort of food vending area that sells sustainably produced food.

The due date is Wednesday september first at 9pm GMT-6
Good Luck and have fun!

What is 'sustainably produced food'? And what do you mean by 'There must be a connection between all the species, not just a random collection of animals'?

Thanks C

The food has to be connected in some way to the animals being exhibited. ie. If you are exhibiting african guenons you would not be serving hamburgers or sushi. In respect to your other question, I mean they should be from the same area, family, have similar habits, similar threats or anything that connects them. So you would not exhibit an aye-aye and a gorilla just because, you would have to make a connection between them.

hahahaha, I was having a hard time coming up with an example. Lets say that the exhibit was focussing on social groupings the aye aye would not fit.

Dw about it i wouldn't have but them together if i was going to take part in the task anyways :P

Madagascar isn't really part of Africa, despite many zoos lumping lemurs and other malagasy species into African exhibits...

Madagascar is part of Africa, the same way that Iceland is part of Europe and Japan is part of Asia. I think you just mean that it's not part of continental Africa.
