The Bridgeport Zoo in Connecticut held an "Exotic Animal Amnesty Day", and retrieved 135 illegally owned pets from the general public. I really like the notion of having these days, as exotic pets are then gathered up from the arms of owners who have no desire to keep the animals any longer. However, how does a small zoo have the space for the new additions? Are the animals spread out to a number of other zoological parks?
