Lions, tigers and snakes, oh no: B.C. bans exotic pets

The Province of British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada, has officially cracked down on all of the individuals who own boa constrictors, lions, tigers and other such creatures. There is now a law banning any further breeding, buying or selling of a long list of over 1,200 exotic animals. Now the State of Texas, among other locations, should follow suit!

Hm....I wonder what will happen to all the exotics that are currently being owned? I'm assuming they have to be surrendered...but then what? :(

Exotics that are currently owned are not affected, and they are allowed to remain with their owners until they die. For all those tortoise owners out there that could be a long time!:)
