HAHA! Thanks Meaghan, I was just jokign about not remembering them, but thanks for re-jogging my memory! I would love to see American Eel's and also would be good to have live plants in the tanks!

Ahhh! Christmas music already! Makes me want to put up decorations!
 
Haha, you're very welcome :D American Eels would be neat. My dad caught one down south and it wrapped itself around the fishing line.

I'm also glad they're getting another White-headed Vulture; aren't they really rare in North American zoos? And another Ostrich and crane.

Haha, I hear ya about Christmas :P
 
I am not to sure about the white-headed vulture, however I haven't seen pictures of them anywhere else. They are thinking about bringing in a couple of crowned cranes. to increase biodiversity!

One thing I think that is truely inpressive is that the African Pavilion is undergoing phase-in Madagascar species from birds to reptiles to insects. Haven't heard about mammals although that may be planned in the future too.:p!
 
Eels would be interesting, I think TZ has had them before (Different type though)

Im very hopeful that someday TZ will re-acquire lemurs (A whole Madagascar mini pavilion would be nice)
 
We have electric eel! I believe in Americas. We also have aba aba which is sort of like an eel.

Oh wow, Bilbies and Bird of Paradise! I don't think there's any zoos in North America that have Bilbies, are there? Toronto might become a first then :) Freshwater Crocs would be a terrific species as well, but I wonder where they'd put them. Nice to see that the Loggerhead Shrikes will be displayed.

Between the new Wombats coming in, the existing ones, and the Common, we're going to have quite a few of them!

Freshwater croc would be interesting, but do we have a place to house them in th Pavilion? I suppose the billabong area would work, but we just got those pied cormaronts and I don't think we want to send them off quite yet :P

Can't wait for Eurasia! Hope there is breeding for siberian tigers and dholes planned again!
 
I think we would be the only zoo with bilbies Meaghan! As for the freshwater crocs I am not sure where they would be putting them, possibly building a new exhibit? Remember these are plans.

Eurasia will come in time!

I have also added another future species for the birds of Australasia, they would be the Double-wattled Cassowary.
 
Oooh, cassowaries are another terrific species. I could see them in the old Lorikeet area (renovated, of course). I've always wanted to see them in real life.
 
Actually, they plan on building an exhibit to the west of the Pavilion. More ducks like mentioned in the bird section are to be added to the outdoor avairy.
 
Most likely or maybe in with the Sugar Gliders? They might swap them with the gliders as well?

No, there is know plan to aquire Koala's any time soon.
 
Bilbies could probably work with the tree kangaroos too, or would they drown in the moat?

Maybe they could even live with the wombat/echidna/swamp wallaby?

Fingers crossed that a male can be brought in for the dholes! I'd hate to see them become another phased out species :( Fingers crossed for all the breeding plans!
