Faulty Phone!!

Was wondering if anybody may be able to help me. My Samsung Tocco Lite phone decided to stop working yesterday whilst I was in the middle of sending a text. The phone itself works ok and you can receive calls but as all of the functionality of the phone is only available via the touch screen I cannot do much else. The touch screen seems to be completly frozen I have tried taking out the battery but when phone restarts its exactly the same. I just wondered if anybody knew of anything I could do to reset the phone to see if it would fix the problem.

try taking out the sim, then turn it on, then off again, then put the sim back in then turn it on, it should be fine, worked for me, hope this helps
