Hi guys how's it going? I was wondering what your favorite bovine is, mine is probably the cape buffalo or possibly American Bison but I want to know what yours is*:

**Bonus points if its a new species to me :)

I think for me it would have to be the wisent / European bison.

I find them to be very majestic creatures in a way that the American species just doesn't match up to (the European bison seems less bulky and more graceful in some way).

I've seen them portrayed in the prehistoric cave paintings in caves in Spain and France which makes me somehow appreciate this animal even more. I also find the history of their conservation to be an interesting and epic story too.

So, yes, considering all of those things for me I would have to say the wisent is my favourite bovine.

My favorite is maybe the American Bison. I love their fur on their neck and head. They look cool to me I guess.
I remember watching a documentaries about them, back when I was around kindergarten/first grade they were my favorite animals and I knew pretty much everything about them

One of my other favorites is the greater eland, I think they're such beautiful and cool animals. Watching them jump is quite the sight to behold

My favorite would probably be the greater kudu, but if we're including all bovids, I think the Rocky Mountain goat

Depends on how you classify bovid.

Bovidae: Gerenuk
Bovinae: Either Bongo or Sitatunga
Bovini: African buffalo
