Favorite Music :)

Between 1963 and 1983 I was a rock/pop/soul music fanatic - music was by far my biggest interest. I am still interested but no longer a fanatic. My musical taste is still about the same as during that period. My favorite artists, in more or less chronological order:

Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Supremes, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, John Lennon (as post-Beatles solo artist), Derek & The Dominos (Clapton on lead guitar), Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Roxy Music, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, Joy Division (the band that later turned into New Order)

I was also quite keen on jazz-rock, reggae and blues.

During the 1990s I became interested in modern country-rock and fell in love with the music of Emmy-Lou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle, to mention but a few.

I still go to rock concerts, though not as often as before and I have seen the majority of the artists mentioned live. Best concert ever? Either Emmy-Lou Harris at a small rock club 7 or 8 years ago or David Bowie 1976, during his "Thin White Duke"-tour!

Those were the days , Dan my dear friend , those were the days , when Music actually was Music , I also was and still am a big fan of Joy division , i even made a trip north whilst i lived in the united kingdom to visit the grave of Ian Curtis he was the voice of all of our alienation and fears ,Siouxsie and the banshees are still my favourite band as they have been for a good few decades or more and i am still very much in love with that wonderful woman siouxsie sioux and her music as i have been for many years

Hey alright, everyone has different views like even several teachers I know who are like in their 40's prefer hip hop over the old stuff their used to.

well the teachers and 40s year olds bit fits me , but definitely not the hip hop ,id rather watch paint dry, id rather listen to the old stuff anyday

Here is a good new one if you are a country music fan.

I do listen to triple J. missed the start of the hottest 100 as I was working. But spent the arvo at the local with some mates listening to it.

Usually don't listen to the radio much. I listen to my iphone in the car.
