Absolutely, outside of ABBA (I so wish I could type the first B backwards, great logo) I can't recall anything of merit and longevity produced by Eurovision. In fact I wonder if it's ABBA's "fault" Eurovision keeps on rolling, they gave the competition credibility, popularity and I'm sure some people watch "just in case" lightening strikes twice.

Anyways, I have come up with a ranked list of my top five (technically six) favorite musical artists along with an unranked list of others that I also enjoy. I would consider my taste in music to be a little off the beaten path... Especially for an American. I quite enjoy what one would I guess call Neo-Soul, but also some more Alternative types as well.
Here's my top five (...er six):
1.) Amy Winehouse
2.) Lana Del Rey
3.) Adele
4.) Norah Jones
5.) Duffy / Gin Wigmore
I also really enjoy Lily Allen, Joss Stone, Ingrid Michaelson, Fiona Apple, Corinne Bailey Rae, Estelle, Florence + The Machines, No Doubt, Dionne Bromfield, Erykah Baddu, Alicia Keys, and Lauryn Hill. I do have to say that M.I.A. can be a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. Much of her music is too electronic for my liking, but I enjoy her clear inspiration from and incorporation of traditional Sri Lankan/Indian music.

Jedward sums up everything that makes Eurovision great. They came 8th last year and were entered again this year.
So I went to see Radiohead on Friday night when they played here in Melbourne and I have to say they didn't disappoint. I always feel like artists that are beyond big run the risk of getting ahead of themselves and letting their fans down when it comes to live performances (e.g. Bob Dylan) but this show was phenomenal. They played a lot of their newer music but still included the greats. Idioteque followed by Paranoid Android was the highlight for me.
They were actually pretty reasonable. I'm glad I got them when they went on sale because I've heard people paid a few hundred dollars for second hand ones.
Coldplay and Sigur Ros played in Melbourne this week as well, both of which would have been incredible, but I'm a poor student so had to make a choice.
Reasonable for you might be a fortune to me or our overseas friends. Give us a number.
haha I could've gone to the cinema 6 or 7 times (more on concession) or paid for my Zoos Victoria membership for the next two years to put it in perspective but I'm not gonna say exactly how much.
I know I must not be the only one when I say that my favorite song, artist, album, etc. is constantly changing. Of course, there's always that one song/artist/album that will always be your true favorite, but there's always a change in what you find yourself listening to. My obsession for Michael Jackson music has dwindled a bit, and my ears have had to make room for Maroon 5's older songs, and Coldplay, as well (so PAT, I would've chosen Coldplay over Radiohead there ).

And tell me how Michael Jackson dominated all of music, as you say. He stayed in the genre of pop music, so I don't see how that makes him the king of all music.
At least he's 100 times the king of pop Justin Bieber ever will be.
Michael's music consisted of R&B, pop, rock, soul, dance, funk, disco, and new jack swing. I would say when people say the "King of Music", they mean the way he danced, theatricality, amazing voice, and lastly how many records he has sold.
