Favorite Shorebird Species?

What’s your guys favorite shorebird species? (Waders, Plovers, Auks, Puffins, Gulls, Etc.) Mine is a tie between the Blacksmith Plover/Lapwing and the Tufted Puffin.

Given half the species mentioned in the other thread are shorebirds being counted as water birds, it's a very open ended question.

My shorebird species is the Atlantic Puffin.

Not sure if this qualifies for a shore bird but I find the Inca tern to be a really striking species, probably my favourite.

I would say Long-Billed Curlew.

I would say the Kildeer, as its the one that I have had the best look at in the wild. It would be Wilson's snipe, but I didn't get a clear view of it's bill before it flew away.

Today, Ibisbill; but on another day, maybe Crab Plover or Magellanic Plover, or Egyptian Plover, or Lapwing, or Ruff, or Diademed Sandpiper-Plover, or White-bellied Seedsnipe, or......

I have a soft spot for the whimbrel, the ruff, the Diademed sandpiper-plover and the ibisbill.

I don't know if it's strictly a shorebird but my favorite charadriiformes would be the Black skimmer.

My favorite shorebird is the Little Blue Penguin. It’s too bad that my local aquarium, the New England Aquarium, got rid of their Little Blue Penguins a few years back to make more room for their other penguins
