Birmingham at last count is 8 - (African Lion, Jaguar, Fishing Cat, Pallas Cat, Black Footed Cat, African Wildcat, Bobcat, Sand Cat) with medium term plans to reacquire Tigers (presumably Malayan) and Cougars.

Can confirm Clouded Leopard for San Diego, have photos of Haui from about 2 months ago and is only seen during Animals in Action tour

It was planned to be opened next year but not concrete this side of Covid.

I went back through, that confirmation came from their website, which seems to be up to date: Animal List | Birmingham Zoo There might have also been a google photo, but the B zoos were a month ago so "recent photos" doesn't show the same ones now.

I knew they had them as show animals but they may have given them an exhibit since the last time I was there. I went last summer but the buildings were closed because of Covid precautions.

Capital of Texas Zoo now has fishing cat. They no longer have a jungle cat.

Looks like Santa Ana's margay has passed away, too. The species is no longer held by anyone in the USA.
