Files and Records.

I was recently tidying, adding and editing my files and records. I was wondering how do you keep your files and records if you do have some. I use Bar chats, line graphs, photo ID's, family tree's, the list goes on. So, how do you (if you do) maintain your records and files?

I only keep copies of guide books (on a self on a bookcase at home) and Maps in a lever arch file.

If I was to keep species records, I would almost certainly use Excel as it is so versatile for keeping clear records, dates and it would even be useful for family trees too I reckon.
