It's really great news about the new calf of Kulab's JohnAllen. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I notice you're from Melbourne. If you happen to go to Melbourne Zoo and get any more information about the little guy I'd love to hear about it.
 
KULAB'S CALF IS DOING WELL IT'S GREAT TO SEE HIM AND MALI PLAYING TOGETHER BEING OLDER AND HEAVIER THAN HIM MALI CAN A LITTLE ROUGH.

Have a look at these two video's of the new calf interacting with the herd. The first video is the "one big family" video which Melbourne Zoo has on its webpage... Kulab seems to be attempting to keep Mali at a safe distance from her calf and the second video is interesting... Kulab sends her own calf tumbling by raising her back leg out as he passes behind her.. maybe she thought it was Mali coming up from behind her but in fact it was her own calf. The calf was fine... but in the tumble the calf is so heart touching and vulnerable. Here are the videos.
