Flamingo Land Flamingo Land 2021

Just come across an old newspaper article about lion cubs (1:1) being born here in April 2008, called Nala and Jaffar. I know they weren't here as of last year on the video posted on Facebook, does anyone know what happened to them?

I’ve always assumed they died; the only long surviving litter to come of the pair were the last five born and even three of those have died at relatively young. I believe someone confirmed multiple litters died on an old thread perhaps longleat lions ?

Thanks @Megan Jones, I know the only 2 remaining from 2009 here are Tuesday and Friday, so their siblings must have died since 2010(I read about their first birthday and there were all 5 then). Just have to hope that Mishka,Niyaka and Friday are all too old now to breed as their bloodlines are well represented.

Between 2017 and this year, i think one died every other year. Yes, it’s a shame the bloodline was compromised in most of the collections it was present in. On a similar note Kenya’s sky has had cubs in france.
