I uploaded approximately 40 photos of this zoo into the gallery and I might be the first ZooChatter to have visited as there hasn't been much information about this facility over the years. Also, I posted a short review on the thread "Snowleopard's 2017 Road Trip".

On March 12th, the zoo announced that their (0.1) generic tiger named Pouncer had passed away at age 19.

On March 28th, the zoo announced they have acquired an Eastern screech owl named Doug. He is located at the Miner's Shack exhibit.

On August 12th, the zoo announced that their (0.1) dog-wolf hybrid named Lady has passed away at the age of 16.

On January 1st, 2022, the zoo announced that they have acquired a (0.1) American black bear named Olive as she was orphaned and deemed not releasable back into the wild.

On February 27th, 2023, it was announced that the zoo acquired a (0.0.1) Geoffroy's cat named Xero from the now-defunct Exotic Feline Breeding Compound in California.

On July 29th, it was reported that the City of Folsom approved a $1 million plan to raise the facility's perimeter fence in accordance with the USDA.

On October 2nd, the zoo announced they were celebrating their 60th anniversary.

On October 5th, the zoo announced that they moved the sand cats Margo, Sally, Tina (Tina may have been renamed from Christina), and Tracy on display next to the Geoffroy's cat exhibit.

On May 28th, it was reported that the zoo will be raising the admission from $7 to $10 starting on July 1st.

On June 8th, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.1) Eurasian brown bear from the same now-closed facility they acquired Herbie from, which is now on exhibit.

* Worth noting the zoo acquired 2 red foxes named Link and Zel in September 2024 and 2 green-cheeked parrots named Carmen and Luisa in December 2024. Also in December, it was reported that the city of Folsom will increase the height of the facility's outer fence to avoid paying a $10K a day fine.
