They also weren't good in 1998, the only time they deserved to win was in 2000. In 98 they were lucky al the time, and had the luck to face brasil in the finals wo were complete wore down by the netherlands in the semi-finals. Still believe, if we ever deserved to win the tournament, it was in 98. We had by far the best team.

You should have won in 74 & 78, for different reasons.

The 98 final should have been Holland - Croatia IMO, two classic teams, what a final it could have been.
 
It's adieu les blues! And arrivederci to the italian team! To see these disgraceful teams fail gives me a very good feeling. England didn't play well, but I'm hoping they will do a little bit better, I actually like english football. America has also done very well. And that for a country where baseball is considered a sport....
 
Damn, germany through! England played a better game, but germany played more efficient. Worthless defense though.....
 
Netherlands still in the game! Brasil defeated with 2-1! I really believe in our chances now. A team that is able to beat brasil with terrible football, can win the entire tournament.
 
Don`t be agains`t it being a Holland v Germany Final,now that the mighty German Rainbow Nation has beaten Argentina.
 
Spain won! I predicted a Spain v Netherlands final with the Dutch winning it, and all this might come true!
 
Switched on tonight just in time for Paraguay's penalty. Saw more excitement in 4 minutes than in FOUR England games.

I'm sad that Paraguay are out, they have such a nice strip.
 
I can't believe yet, Spain in semi finals! for 2nd time in 60 years.
 
I can't believe it! We made it to the world cup final! If we face germany in the final, and win, I will get myself an orange shirt, with the text 'Holland Weltmeister', and visit some german zoos;p I wonder how many dirty looks I will get;p
