I think there's plan for Columbus zoo to do that when there new african section opens in 2014. I will be cool

I visited a few days ago and the bongo yard has been expanded so that it is view-able from the education building; and water buck have been added.

Yes the fences were covered with black tarp (?) so I would assume that meant the animals were still being acclimatized to the enclosure.

When I was there on the 5th there were three Waterbuck visible in the Bongo yard.

Never heard of this place in Oklahoma, so I just looked it up and it appears to be a breeding compound for the Carson Circus group of Asian elephants. I am surprised they would have an African?

They had her up until early 2011, when she died prior to being transferred to the Dallas zoo which was originally slated to have seven elephants.

- Wow thats great and unexpected news. At age 40 she is older to have a baby, wish the zoo the best with there new arrival.
