Is anyone aware when the forests habitat will open and what will be included?
All I know they have really said is moving the Orangutans and Bongo, and introducing Okapi. Probably some aviaries. No idea what else they got in store. Is anyone aware when the forests habitat will open and what will be included?

Mountains and Deserts is officially back open! With 14 new species of reptile and amphibians apparently! For the first time in like years, the social media account showed off the Merriam's Kangaroo Rats in their habitat in the Mountains and desert building in Texas Wild, I may be reading too much into it, but I hope this means they are reopening the building soon.

In Texas Wild, there are Bald Eagles, White-Nosed Coati, Jaguar(which are being moved for Forests of the World), Red Wolf, American Black Bear, American Alligator, Mountain Lions, Ocelot, Ringtail, Coyote, Bobcat, Swift Fox, Burrowing Owl, Black-Tailed Prairie Dog, Broad-Billed Hummingbird and a few aviaries and a handful of other speciesWhat notable species are in there?
I was told the same thing and yet when I road the train the Kori Bustards and Secretary Birds were still there, so I don't know why they say there's no animals, though I imagine they may be moved at some point as I think their habitat overlaps with Forest of the World construction plansDoes anyone know where the secretary birds are kept now, if anywhere? I’m in the zoo now and was prepared to board the train, where the map and previous species lists indicated they would be, but the person at the ticket gate said there were no animals visible from the train. I asked if she knew anything about the secretary birds, and she said all she knew was that they weren’t on the train path.
I've never ridden the train so I'm not 100% sure, they've said for at least 2 years now there's no animals visible on the train, but I know that there was at the least kori bustards viewable before they were moved, and I believe that someone posted a picture of the secretary birds from the train in that time, so as far as I know they're still there.Does anyone know where the secretary birds are kept now, if anywhere? Good luck! Let us know if you see them, I know the kori bustards were moved to the old red-crowned crane exhibit (still with the old scenery) so I am curious what all it looks like back there. Hopefully they're still there.Alright time to double back and be awkward buying a ticket after initially declining then because that bird is a large part of why I’m here lol. Thanks.

I’m not sure what’s new or old (this is my first time here) but presently the red crowned cranes are amongst the bird collection between the clouded leopard and tiger, and I just passed some kori bustards next to the saddle billed storks in the emptyish middle section of the zoo. In line for the train now.Good luck! Yep, they moved them to the Asian and African Predators section, maybe they redecorated the kori bustard exhibit since I was there, but it still had a Japanese lantern in it from when it housed red-crowned cranes.I’m not sure what’s new or old (this is my first time here) but presently the red crowned cranes are amongst the bird collection between the clouded leopard and tiger, and I just passed some kori bustards next to the saddle billed storks in the emptyish middle section of the zoo.
