This is indeed very nice achievement.
According to the zoo's instagram post they are the only zoo in the world that breeds this species
regularly.

What a good news, two months after the Beauval calf !Birth of a male Yellow-backed duiker. Parents are Walter and Dolly, calf is named Karli. First offspring of this species at Frankfurt in 54 years.
Zoo Frankfurt
When I visited in 2023 they had 3 breeding pairs, with one offspring. And some solo males and one solo female. Using zootierliste they have 8,4,2 since 01/01/2024.How many kiwis does Frankfurt currently keep? Also, why did Frankfurt give Paignton a kiwi? Was it because of a trade or an EAZA recommendation?
The gender is female. How many zoos have recieved kiwis from Frankfurt? When I visited in 2023 they had 3 breeding pairs, with one offspring. And some solo males and one solo female. Using zootierliste they have 8,4,2 since 01/01/2024.
I would assume they moved a kiwi on breeding recommendation. The breeding program is tight nit and well managed. In general the larger facilities are used to form pairs that match before they place a pair. But I don't know about the move or gender so I have no clue.

IMANI has given birth to a calf, that has been called SHIMONI.Recently 4-year old female Okapi (Okapia johnstoni) Imani arrived from Kölner Zoo. According to the Instagram of Frankfurt zoo, she came from Antwerpen, which is incorrect since Kölner Zoo reported her move last month.
