Lately, I have seen a few threads like this and I wanted to share one about Franklin Park Zoo. *will show if I remember seeing these species.
1. Bongo* -where the red River hogs are now.
2. Plains Zebra*- in Serengeti Crossing, but were replaced almost a year ago with the Hartmann’s Mountain Zebras.
3. Ibex?- I saw a picture online that showed that there was one in the Serengeti Crossing habitat about 12-15 years ago.
4. Amur Leopard*- in former children’s zoo
5. Mandrill*- in current DeBrazza’s Monkey exhibit.
6. A species of hornbill*- I don’t remember what kind it was because I was young when they had it, but it was where the sloth exhibit is now in Tropical Forest.
7. Madagascar Tree Boa*- I think it was in the terrarium where the ball python is now.
8. Red eyed tree frog- I think in the Tropical Forest, but I know the zoo had them at some point.
9. Capybara*- in the hippo habitat where Ptolemy and Cleo are.
10. A species of Duiker?- I think it was where the former capybara exhibit was before the capybara was at the zoo.
11. A species of leopard?- I think I heard it was where the ocelots are today.
12. Talapoin- where the lemur exhibit is.
13. Siberian Crane*- I do see a Crane species behind the scenes, but I’m not 100 percent sure if it’s them. Where Gorilla Grove is going to be.
14. Chilean Flamingos*- in white Naped Crane exhibit.
15. African Painted Dog*- where hyenas are today.
16. Cheetah- I’m pretty sure I heard it was where the outdoor Baird’s Tapir exhibit is, but I know the zoo had them.
17. Mastchie’s Tree Kangaroo*- in kiwi and tawny frogmouth building.
18. Indian Hornbill*- In Bird’s World. It’s on the website, but I have not seen it for a long time.
19. Bear species- a very long time ago; where the abandoned bear cages are today.
20. Elephants- a very long time ago, I think that they were in the area behind Serengeti Crossing today, but don’t quote me on that.
21. Nile Hippo- near elephants. I know this because I saw a very old picture of the two species in side by side exhibits.
22. Addax- in an abandoned Hoof stock yard.

Please feel free to share more species that you know of to update this list! Also, if I got any of the locations wrong where some of these species that I listed were kept, feel free to correct me.

The hornbills were white crowned, next to dwarf crocodiles.
Cheetahs were replaced by painted dogs that were replaced by hyena.
Generic black leopard was replaced by ocelot and Amur leopards were in children's zoo
Elephant and hippo were held in the elephant house, that is in serengeti area
Polar bears were held I believe up to late 70s early 80s
One of the giant tortoise species was kept in the children's zoo
Nubian Ibex were mixed with plains zebra, ostrich and wildebeest

I know I saw water buffalo (don't know which species) on an old tropical forest map which would be the current hyena area.
The current kiwi building which formerly held the tree roos was specifically built for the summer they held koala.

African Forest Buffalo was once held in the Tropical Forest.

Secretary bird was once held in the flight cage (current Condor exhibit), along with many other bird species.
