Actually, you can ignore me. I do have some pictures of the animals including one clearly showing the rump with a white stripe in the middle. This makes them africaeaustralis and not cristata.

The sign in the image I attached therefore incorrectly lists the species and if the signage when @MOG2012 visited said africaeaustralis then they must have updated it sometime in the two months between our visits which is of course excellent.

I am not surprised that they were mis-signed. I have been to too many zoos and have seen African crested signed as cape or vice versa. I have also seen wrong scientific/Latin names corresponding with the English names. Seems to be a common problem for zoo marketing teams.
 
I visited today (January 18, 2025) and there was some interesting updates:
  • The peacocks are both free-roaming with at least one individual in the Franklin Barn (there isn't signage for it) in an enclosure
Gorilla Grove:
  • The gorillas are exclusively indoors right now due to the weather
Bird's World:
  • Signage for Sunbittern (Eurypyga helias) has been added to the Swamp, and I saw at least one individual
  • Green Aracari (Pteroglossus viridis) has been added to the Rainforest aviary (I saw two in a nesting box so maybe a breeding pair?), signage is also there
  • The Eastern River Cooters were replaced by Coastal Plain Cooter (Pseudemys floridana) [Signed as Common Cooter] with signage being changed though I have no idea if there are any Eastern cooters left (I'm bad at identifying turtles)
  • The umbrella cockatoo aviary outside have been replaced by Azure-winged Magpies (Cyanopica cyanus), possibly from the Nature's Neighborhood aviary
  • Some unsigned Goldfish (Carassius auratus) are in the white-naped crane's pond
Outback Trail:
  • Due to the cold weather, only the black swan remains in the budgie aviary.
  • The red kangaroo signage was removed with the only animals that I could see in the enclosure being a single Bennett's Wallaby and Emu
Tropical Forest:
  • Clouded leopard enclosure looks good so far but based on construction, it probably won't be open to the public until at least fall of this year
  • Amazon milk frog enclosure is under construction
  • I believe that during my last trip, a black curtain was over the Dwarf Crocodile (Osteolaemus tetraspis)'s enclosure so I finally saw it for the first time in the last 5 years
Giraffe Savannah:
  • Giraffes were behind the scenes due to the cold temperatures
Franklin Farm:
  • In the nursery/hatchery building, there are currently juvenile Blanding's Turtles (Emydoidea blandingii)
Nature's Neeighborhood:
  • The turtles and fish are behind the scenes due to the cold weather
Serengeti Crossing:
  • Like it was mentioned on the news thread, all of the animals are behind-the scenes due to the construction

What do you mean regarding the black curtain at the croc exhibit? Is the exhibit closed? Or is it like a curtain to hide light / turn it into a nocturnal setup?
