Cost of Wisconsin does incredible rockwork. This looks to be one of the best African exhibits in recent years. Compared to the flops in Cincinnati and Hogle Zoo. This expansion looks really promising and with continued funding, they wish to add Hippos and Crocs, among other animals and new exhibits.

Someone has been arrested for climbing into one of the Orangutan enclosures and touching one of them. The intruder was scratched by the orangutan.

The Zoo has began to welcome some new arrivals for their new African Adventure exhibit including a mother daughter pair of African Elephants from the Riddle's elephant sanctuary in Arkansas. Additional arrivals include 4 wildebeest and 2 cheetahs.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo's 2 male Malayan tigers has been moved to San Diego. A new male tiger has been moved to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo from Tulsa. He'll be on display in a month. The zoo also announced a new mascot.

According to a post on facebook, Fresno Chaffee Zoo have received a breeding pair of Southern White Rhinoceros. One of them is Kayla, who was born and raised at Disney Animal Kingdom. They also stated that another female rhino will be joining those two from San Diego Safari Park.

The elephant herd as grown by one. 11 year old bull, Musi, has arrived from San Diego Safari Park on a breeding loan. He will be introduced to Amy and Betts this fall. Hopefully calves will be in the future.
