When do u mean by young kudu? Is it a baby or a yearling?

The warthog exhibit is very close to being complete. I didn't get a great look at it because the zoo was closing and the keeper shooed me out, but it looked like they have all the rockwork complete with only the landscaping left till it is ready for the warthogs. One of the keepers said it will be finished before January. The attached picture isn't from my last trip, but it should give you a good idea.IMG_2385.JPG

It looked like they had ripped up all of the exhibits behind the Andean condor exhibit where the duikers, Burmese tortoise, and waterfowl used to be.

As far as I can tell they have done nothing with that area except fence it in and drain the pond. The Kingdoms of Asia construction will span from the current tiger exhibit, take up half of the current petting zoo and half of the old giraffe yard, to the aoudad exhibit (former sloth bear exhibit). I believe the area you are referring to will eventually be used for the "zooplex". I believe the keeper said it was born a couple of months or so. I don't know that for sure but I know that it just started going out on exhibit within the last few weeks

You are correct. This is the first time I have heard anything at all about the Asian expansion including any sort of reptile species, much less a crocodilian. It is very exciting news. Up to this point, the zoo has only had a lone alligator in an out of the way exhibit. It's about time for a crocodilian species to get a bit more spotlight

Yes, the zoo has 1.1 spur-thighed tortoises that will be exhibited with the 5 warthogs (although when I was there Saturday I only saw 4) The Warthog exhibit is so very close to being finished. As of the 15th, they were working on irrigation and trees/vegetation with rocks already added
