Can anyone give a species list for Kingdoms of Asia? Preferably including the birds that will be housed in the aviary.
Based off the current collection and all birds native to Asia, my guess is the following:
- Mandarin duck (Aix galericulata) [Currently resides in the Tropical Rainforest Aviary)
- Crested [wood] partridge (Rollulus rouloul)
- Luzon bleeding-heart (Gallicolumba luzonica ssp.)
- Red-billed leiothrix {Pekin robin} (Leiothrix lutea ssp.) (I believe @Adventuredl said this was in the collection)
- Chinese hwamei (Garrulax canorus canorus)
- Bali myna (Leucopsar rothschildi)
- White-rumped shama [thrush] (Copsychus malabaricus ssp.)
Based on a banner I saw at the zoo teasing what they'll have in their collection, the showcased the following:
- Golden white-eye (Cleptornis marchei)
- Chinese hwamei (Garrulax canorus canorus)
- Bali myna (Leucopsar rothschildi)
- White-rumped shama [thrush] (Copsychus malabaricus ssp.)
The golden white-eye wouldn't isn't even native to Asia so it beats me why they would include the species in an Asian-themed aviary.
